A postdoctoral position is immediately available for a highly motivated candidate to work on an NIH-funded translational and collaborative project in the laboratories of Dr. Suzanne Judd (Department of Biostatistics).

The project focuses on the role of matrikines (matrix-derived chemokines), exosomal proteases, and redox mediators in modulating sterile and infectious acute lung injury. The major focus is to investigate cognitive decline, dementia and vascular contributions to incident dementia in a large cohort study and to manage large complex datasets in a longitudinal cohort study.

The applicant will work with a multi-disciplinary team across medicine, epidemiology, biostatistics, and neuropsychology to examine cognitive decline. Applicant will have opportunity to work with scientist from the U.S, France, Germany, and the Netherlands in a multi-national working group.

The initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of extension contingent on satisfactory performance. Salary will follow NIH guidelines commensurate with training and experience.

Qualifications:

Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in epidemiology, psychology, and/or biomedical sciences are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should have a proven track record with publications. Strong motivation, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently are required. Prior experience with regression analyses, multivariate analyses, and longitudinal data techniques is desirable.
