About the Role:
Leads all aspects of the Company's efforts supporting patient access through patient support programs for CAH (congenital adrenal hyperplasia). The organizations expert in reimbursement and patient support programs for CAH and will serve as a resource to the market access, marketing and field teams, providing expertise, training, tools and programs to ensure patients receive best in class high-touch support for the use of our products._
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):Leads patient support and reimbursement services for all brands under the CAH therapeutic area. This includes supervising SP, call center, copay program, HUB through SP and free goods program vendors
In conjunction with cross-functional partners and external vendors, helps build best in class high-touch support programs for CAH patients, caregivers, and HCPs
Develops recommendations for program improvements and executes plans for patient support services. Achieves brand specific patient access objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the product lifecycle and ensures that operations are in place to provide optimal reimbursement support
Responsibilities include but are not limited to Patient Reimbursement HUB through SP, Financial Support Programs, Free Goods Programs, Case Management Support and related patient support programs (i.e., adherence and compliance)
Functions as a subject matter expert on patient reimbursement support services and collaborates cross functionally within the commercial organization to design and implement programs that support the Company's patient access objectives for CAH
Works closely with several cross-functional stakeholders including Market Access, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Patient Advocacy, Sales, Legal, Medical and Market Analytics along with relevant external customers and stakeholders
Leads the ongoing management, assessment, and improvement of all patient services programs
Oversees CAH Support Programs day-to-day operations and all associated vendors with a focus on operational excellence in the support of patient and brand objectives, while meeting the Company's compliance and business requirements
Manages external vendor performance against contractual arrangements and to budget
Maintains program SOPs, workflows, scripting, training and reports
In coordination with marketing, develops and maintains reimbursement and patient support tools for use by the program vendors and relevant field teams
Oversees Patient Services inputs of data for support services. Works with internal Commercial Operations, Legal, Regulatory, and Medical teams for review and approval of all related tools and materials
Negotiates and executes contracts / SOWs and budgets for desired services. Manages POs and vendor invoicing
Develops performance dashboards and interprets longitudinal data for purposes of assessing market access trends, program utilization, and performance against defined KPIs
Provides strategic insights for Marketing to develop compliant content for the Company's reimbursement support website for all patient services programs. Drives material through Promotional Review Committee (PRC) process as required
Responsible for staying abreast of Compliance and OIG guidance, policies and requirements regarding free goods and other patient-provider support programs, and proactively communicates any changes that have impact on existing or future programs to senior management
Works to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment

BS/BA degree in a related field and 12+ years of experience within the biotech/ pharmaceutical industry, where Specialty drug and rare disease experience is required. Requires 5 years of proven experience working with/in Patient Access, call centers/HUB/SP operations and Patient Assistance Programs. Prior HUB/SP and/or Patient Support Service experience is required OR
Master's degree preferred and 10+ years of related experience as shown above
Experience in endocrinology therapeutic area is preferred. Sales or field reimbursement experience within the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, patient confidentiality (HIPAA regulations), product reimbursement and product access
Knowledge and experience in commercial, Medicaid, Medicare Part D and other government policies, reimbursement process, health policy, payment, coding, Specialty Pharmacy
Track record of successfully managing and leading vendor relationships from both a strategic and operational perspective and achieving results
Anticipates business and industry issues; recommends relevant process / technical / service improvements
Demonstrates broad expertise or unique knowledge
Considered an expert within the company and may have external presence in area of expertise
Applies in-depth expertise in discipline and broad knowledge of other closely related areas to improve efficiency of team
Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $151,800.00-$220,050.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
