The CNA/PCT Clinical Instructor/Assistant will manage and observe the student's academic progress in clinical experiences under the direct supervision of the primary instructor. This position reports to the Allied Health Sciences CE Program Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities
In accordance with NNAAP, SC DHHS, and NHA standards prepare students for successful completion of the Certified Nurse Aide, NHA Electrocardiogram, Phlebotomy, and Certified Patient Care Technician examinations.
Support the primary instructor in the approved course curriculum.
Evaluate and document student's progress.
Provide an environment conducive to learning.
Maintain accurate attendance and academic records on student.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
NHA or other national certification in Electrocardiogram, Phlebotomy, and/or Patient Care Technician – or qualified to become certified within 90 days of hire. Three or more years working with patients in long-term care, medical practice, or hospital setting. AHA approved BLS CPR Required.
South Carolina Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (RN/LPN) with AND or equivalent. Supervisory and teaching experience, senior care experience within past 5 years, BSN or advanced degree. CPR BLS/PALS Instructor, CNA, RMA, and or CCMA certifications.
