Associate Dean of Research
The College of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) is seeking an Associate Dean for Research to help advance the mission of the College. Provide leadership and develop partnerships across VT with K-12 STEM educators, companies, and municipalities.
The Associate Dean for Research will partner closely with the five department chairs on a regular, day-to-day basis on all matters related to undergraduate and graduate research. The Associate Dean will further collaborate with Associate Deans across campus. The Associate Dean will work to foster interdisciplinary research within CEMS and for CEMS faculty across the campus. They will support new faculty and work to develop a culture of internal proposal review. They will work to develop more efficient grant submission processes and will work with grants administrators on tracking student support. They will work with the graduate student coordinator in student services. The college safety officer will report to the Associate Dean.

The Associate Dean must hold a tenure track position at the University of Vermont and be active in STEM based research. They must have a record of scholarship.
